He was a founder ; of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and of the United Jewish Appeal; he served as vice president of ' the Federation of Jewish Philan- thropies of New York and as a director of the Brooklyn Jewish Community Council. Born in Russia, Mr. Leviton came to the United States when he was 20.
