Michigan was one of the 13 who
voted against the overwhelm-
ingly-adopted anti-Boycott meas
ure.
(In his address in Detroit
Wednesday night, at the JNF
dinner honoring Bernard Isaacs,
Senator Gruening urged liberals
of all faiths to demand action
by the State Department: and the
White House to compel adher-
ence to the Senatorial action
against aggressors and those
who seek Israel's Destruction by
means of economic boycotts.)

Meanwhile, State Department
officials said that the question of
Egyptian diversion of its rice crop
by shipments to Communist China
and Cuba at a time when Egypt
was receiving United States food
assistance was under study by the
U.S. government. A determination
of violation by Egypt of its aid
agreement with the U.S. has not
yet been made, however.
It has been learned that Egypt
exported rice in 1964, but authori-
ties here said Egypt may not be
precluded from selling rice to Cuba
