Council Program Planners Institute
to Include Presentation of Films

Plans for a film festival to high-
light the annual Program Planners
Institute were announced this
week by Hubert J. Sidlow, chair-
man of the Institute's planning
committee.
Sponsored by the Jewish Corn-
munity Council and designed to
explore the problem of effective
and dynamic organizational pro-
gramming, the Institute will be
held 8 p.m. Wednesday at the
Jewish Center.
This year's program will feature
a preview of several films design-
ed to meet programing needs on
such topics as Israel, human rela-
tions, United Nations and holiday
observances. There also will be a
full-length showing of the new
film, "The Price of Silence" which
deals with Soviet anti-Semitism.

The Institute provides an op-
portunity for program chairmen

to discuss the planning of good

programs with specialists and

to exchange ideas with program
planners from other organiza-
tions.

A social hour to permit infor-
mal discussion of programing
problems will follow the film pre-
view. Other program resources
available through the Council pro-
gram department will be on dis-
play at the Institute.
In addition to Sidlow, members
of the Institute's planning com-
mittee are Mesdames Philip Bern-
stein, Jan Boyer and Bertha Brot-
man, Rabbi Ernst J. Conrad, Mrs.
