Scores of Detroiters will be
wending their paths towards Strat-
ford, Ontario, starting next Mon-
day, when the Shakespearean Fes-
tival opens with "Henry IV," and
continuing through the final per-
formance on Oct. 2.
It will be Stratford's longest sea-
son and the ticket sales already
exceed any year since the festival
was introduced 13 years ago.

The other two plays on the Tues-
day and Wednesday opening nights
will be "Falstaff" and "Julius
Caesar."
Later in the season, there will
be operettas, and "The Cherry Or-
chard," "Mahagony" and "Mar-
riage of Figaro" will be staged.
A notable cast has been gath-
ered and the stage settings
again are attracting wide atten-
