Random House is answering a
great deal -of President Johnson's
fan mail by publishing A DAY
AT THE LBJ RANCH, written and
illustrated by Sam • Savitt. Presi-
dent Johnson has received mil-
lions of letters from American
children, and most of them ask
about life down at the LBJ Ranch
near Johnson City, Texas. Sayre
Ross, the author's cousin, con-
ceived the idea of having a Boy
Scout and a Girl Scout visit the
ranch, along with Savitt, who
sketched the scouts as they met
the President.
