to Celebrate 75th Year at Conclave Announced in N.Y.

The rabbis of the Reform Jew-
ish congregations of Detroit will
make a pilgrimage to the scene . of
the founding of American Reform
Judaism in Cincinnati this week-
end. They will be joining all Re-
form rabbis of the country in a
celebration of the 75th anniversary
of the founding of the Central
Conference of American Rabbis•
In observance of the anniver-
sary, the Conference has published
a volume of its history, "Retro-
spect and Prospect." Rabbi Leon
Fram of Temple Israel is author
of one of the chapters of this

Criterion Club Dance
to Honor Its Officers

The Criterion Club will install
Lillian Jane Rubin as president in
ceremonies 7 p.m. Sunday at Pyr-
ros Restaurant and Lounge. Rabbi
Noah M. Gamze, spiritual leader of
Downtown Synagogue, will offici-
ate.

dancing will follow.
Also to be installed are: Anne
Mondrow, Toby Ulrych and Sally
Sidrin, vice presidents; Irene Ki-
deckel, Mildred Madven and Sara
Applebaum, secretaries; Lily an
Rosenblatt, treasurer; Sid Berman,
historian; Nate Rubin, counselor;
and directors Edith Fenkel, Sam-
uel Gilt, Betty Fogel, Doris Bar-
ash and Anne Klein.

A. BIRAM, and the degree of Hon-
orary Fellow on SAMUEL JUDAH
BIRN, in a ceremony at Technion
City, Haifa.

Wayne State University commence-
ment Thursday.
