UN 4-3462. 100 Migrants Brought to U.S. on Hias Flight ROME (JTA)-A group of 100 United Hias Service-sponsored mi- grants for resettlement in the Un- ited States took a chartered jet flight to Kennedy Airport in New York. James P. Rice, executive direc- tor of the worldwide Jewish mi- gration agency, who is here on an inspection trip of its overseas op- erations, said this is the largest group of United Hias migrants ever to fly to the United States on one plane. The 100 Jewish men, women and children from Eastern Europe are joining relatives in the U. S. from whorri they have been sep- 1 arated for many years-in some cases since the beginning of World War II. The newcomers will be reset-1 tled with the aid of local Jewish communities in New York City, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, De- troit, Los Angeles, Memphis, Mil-1 waukee and Minneapolis.
