MRS. SHELDON LARKY

Barbara Toby Braverman and
Sheldon Glen Larky recently were
married in a ceremony at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek.
The couple's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Braverman of W.
Outer Dr., and Mr. and Mrs. Irv-
ing Larky of Ravine Dr., Livonia.
The bride wore a goWn of Chan-
tilly lace and silk organza. It fea-
tured tea-cup sleeve s, raised
waistline and a slim skirt, and a
silk organza lace flowered train
beginning at the shoulders. Her
pouff veil was held in place by a
matching lace headpiece. She car-
ried white lilacs on her prayer
book.
Harriet Eserow, cousin of the
bride, was maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Ellen Goldstein and
Rhoda Wain.
David Braverman was best man.
Attendants were Maurice Miller,
Melvin Natinsky, Robert Schmitz,
Stephen Stocker, Frank Blas and
Harry Lipton.
The couple will reside in
Detroit.

Shellee Ann Karber will celebrate her 16th birthday at a dinner-
dance given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Karber, 14710
Loretta, Oak Park, June 4 at the Kenwood Lounge.
Leonard Zimmerman, son of the William Zimmermans of Hereford
Dr., Huntington Woods, has been reelected recording secretary of
Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity at Ferris State College, Big Rapids.
Mrs. Klara Stark, 19169 Ilene, has left for Europe on an extended
visit. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday at a luncheon at North-
wood Inn given by her daughters, Mrs. S. Joseph Fauman and Mrs.
Werner E. Stark.
Mrs. Joseph Adinoff of Los Angeles will arrive in Detroit today
for a short visit with her mother, Mrs. Jerome Kanter of Northgate
Blvd.
Cornfield Family Club will meet 8 p.m. Sunday at the home of
Gerald and Ruth Bahn, 26865 W. 10 Mile, Southfield. Plans for a dinner-
dance will be discussed.
Sally Alexander of Lathrup Blvd., Southfield, will present her
students in a piano recital 2:30 p.m. June 6 at the Detroit Institute
of Musical Arts.
Mrs. Richard J. Bayles of Weyher Ave., Livonia, attended
the annual convention of the Michigan Women's Osteopathic Auxiliary
during its annual meeting at the Pantlind Hotel, Grand Rapids. The
auxiliary met during the 67th annual conference of the Michigan As-
sociation of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hennanoff, 23537 Shagwood Drive, Bingham
Farms, Birmingham, will entertain a group of foreign students from
Wayne State Unfi fersity College of Nursing, at a garden party Satur-
day. Mrs. Hermanoff is the president of the board of trustees of
Shapero School of Nursing.

monial dinner in honor of Bernard
Isaacs, June 16, at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.

in Medical School

Awards and fellowships to
freshman, sophomore and junior
students at Wayne State Univer-
sity's school of medicine were an-
nounced at an honors convocation
recently.
Among the 10 students receiv-
ing $750 Graduate-Professional
Scholarships were Larry Castle-
man of Detroit and Oak Parkers
Daniel Marks and Harvey Rosen-
berg.
Avalon Foundation Scholarships
were presented to seven, including
area residents Nelson Gantz, Ste-
ven Widlansky, Stephen Dvorin
and Gerald May.
Sanford Kornwise and Ronda
Shaw received O.B. Weed Scholar-
ships.
Additional awards went to Har-
vey Ager of Huntington Woods,
the Woman's Auxiliary Scholar-
ship; and Lester Shaw, the Phi
Delta Epsilon Scholarship.

Gets Triple Honors

Honors came thick and fast this
month for Julius Gardin, son of
the Abram Gardins of Richard St.,
Southfield.
Julius has been selected to de-
liver the high school valedictorian
speech at United Hebrew Schools
