Last Delegate Assembly of Season
to Feature Reports and Installation
The Jewish Community Council
will hold its final Delegate Assem-
bly of the season 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday at the Jewish Center.
Council President Sidney M.
Shevitz, in a message to presidents
and delegates of affiliated organ-
izations, noted
that a tradition-
al highlight of
the season's final
assembly is the
election and in-
stallation of
Council officers
and e x e cutive
committee mem-
bers.
The nominating,
committee's re-
port, which was
submitted and ac-
cepted at the
4 March assembly,
proposed Dr.
Samuel Kr o hn
for president. Al
Shevitz the same time,
the Committee recomended re-
election of other present Council
officers.
Presidents and delegates of new
member organizations will be in-
troduced to the Assembly. The or-
ganizations are the Turover Aid
Society Auxiliary; Northeast, Fair-
view and Oakland Hills chapters
of Women's American ORT;
United Jewish Social Club; and
the Association of Hebrew Teach-
ers and Principals. The agenda
will also include a final report by
the executive director of Council
activities during the year.
During a special portion of the
program, tribute will be paid to
the executive committee members
who have passed away this year:
Mrs. Theodore Bargman, Joseph
Bernstein, William Cohen, William
Hordes and Irving W. Sclalussel.
