The featured soloist for this concert will be Miss JUDY BERMAN, violinist, a young ac- complished musician who is pres- ently gaining national repute. Miss Berman was presented in solo re- citals in Detroit in 1959 and 1964. She was also a contestant in the Scandinavian Symphony Society Artist Contest held in 1962. She is presently teaching on the grad- uate level at State University of Iowa, Iowa City, and is continu- ing her own studies with Charles Treger. * * * T h e DETROIT CONSERVA- TORY OF MUSIC, the state's old- est school of music, founded in 1874 by Jacob H. Sklar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Sklar, 15822 Ad- dison, Southfield, has been named a Peace Corps Volunteer, having completed three months of training at Columbia University. He will leave for Nigeria Tuesday. Sklar will join some 635 Peace Corpsmen already at work in Nigeria.
