This certificate will be mailed to the mother honored, or to the relatives of mothers whose memory is to be perpetuated by the planting of trees. In an appeal to organizations, Dr. Israel Wiener, JNF president, stated: "The Jewish National Fund is again providing a particularly appropriate and dignified way of honoring Mother. "A growing tree is a living tribute to every mother. Let trees in Israel honor, or memorialize her." Dr. Wiener also cited the im- portance of trees to Israel's econ- omy. Many newcomers to Israel are employed by the. JNF in the planting of the trees. Certificates can now be ordered from the Jewish National Fund of- fice, UN 4-2767, or through JNF tree chairmen of affliated organi- zations. Mother's Day trees can be planted in the John F.
