Howard M. Squadron, chairman of the Congress Commission on Law and Social Action, presented arguments on a suit filed April 9 by Dr. Joachim Prinz, president of the AJC and 10 others. The aim of the suit is to obtain a permanent injunction, restrain- ing Moses and Fair officials from arresting organization officials from exercising their constitution- al rights of free speech. * * Fair's Israel Pavilion to Feature New Exhibits NEW YORK—The American- Israel Pavilion at the New York World's Fair will open this year with new exhibits, products and attractions. Recorded Jewish Songs and Stories Are Ably Selected in Strauss Record After listening to the recorded selections in "Songs and Stories of the Jewish Holidays," sung and narrated by Herb Strauss, there is the conviction that it was a labor of love. This recording, produced by Decca Distributing Corp., shows wisdom in the selection of themes, splendid narration, able singing, good accompaniment. Herb Strauss uses both the Sep- hardic and Ashkenazic pronuncia- tions in his renditions. He ex- plains that such usage was by per- sonal familiarity or habit. He had received his inspiration from his father, the late Dr. Man- fred M. Strauss. A Princeton and Columbia graduate, having attained high scholastic honors and having made his mark as a singer, he has appeared in many important shows. His love for the Jewish song evidences itself admirably in his new recording. This series includes Sabbath, Purim, Passover, Shavuot, High Holy Days, Snkkot, Simhat Torah, Hanukah and other selections. The choices are commendable. The Sab- bath and holiday spirit will enter the homes where this recording will be played with added zeal.
