Dorsey, the Univer- sity Professor at Wayne State Uni- versity, the charming host who has presided at many noteworthy WSU functions, and Mrs. Dorsey, again hosted an impressive dinner party for about 100 guests on April 8. The occasion was the presenta- tion, as a program in American Studies, of selections from the plays by Elmer Rice. The noted playwright was to have been the guest at the dinner and at the • staging of his plays' selections. Dur- ing the performances that followed A Bnai Brith campaign to plant 500,000 trees in its Martyrs' For- est .in Israel was completed this week. The Bnai Brith Commission on Israel announced that $1,016,029 had• been raised and more than 508,000 saplings planted' since 1954. The program was initiated 10 years ago as a living memorial to Bnai Brith members who perished in the NaZi holocaust, or who died during World War II or Israel's War of Independence.
