LISA KEPES, 81/2 - y e a r-o 1 d
daughter of Dodo and Ronnie
Kepes, was told by dad to bring
home nothing but "A" papers .. .
This she did until a few days went
by and she didn't bring home any
. . . Ronnie asked where her school
papers were and little Lisa replied,
"You told me to bring home only
"A" papers!"

AFTER SUCCESS of last year's
Third Passover Seder by Knights
of Pythias, Detroit Lodge 55, the
group has planned it again, April
20, at Castle Hall, 15787 Wyoming
. . . Last year's chairman, Ben
Bolton, will head it again . . In
May, the famous Nuremberg Trials
documentary film will be shown
under the chairmanship of Herb
Saperstein . . . Both the Passover
seder and the Nuremberg film will
be open to the public at no charge.

FANNY GREENBERG, 86-year-
old resident of the Jewish Home
For the Aged, proudly hand-em-
broidered a table cloth and sent
it as a shower gift to Judy Kanfer,
daughter of Bertha and Al Kanfer
. . . She is a dear friend of Grand-
ma Kanfer, Al's mother, who also
resides at the home . . . Judy is
being wed to Larry Glaser, son
of Ruth Glaser.
IRV LACHMAN, popular EEG
technologist, tells of story making
the rounds at Sinai Hospital • .
about two men greeting the local
rabbi who was approaching with
his leg in a cast . . . "Rabbi, what
happened? Did you break it ski-
ing?" . . . The rabbi answered, "I
was in the bathroom reaching for
something and fell off the com-
mode." ... The two men expressed
their sympathy and the rabbi de-
parted . . . Then one addressed
the other, "What's a commode?"
. . . His companion replied, "How
do I know? I'm not Jewish!"

IT WAS FIRST presented by the
local City of Hope Cancer Fighters
Dramatic Group at last June's
Midwest Regional Conference here
in Detroit . . . Now, billed as an
"American Yiddish Musical Re-
vue," it came out of the so-called
moth balls after much request for
it to be seen publicly . . . Last
Wednesday saw it performed at
Shaarey Zedek . . . Many of the
cast have sung, danced and clown-
ed from the day the dramatic
group was formed, 12 years ago
. . . Today, they are still at it —
and keeping up with the younger
additions . . . Goldie Young, fire-
ball director and producer through-
out the years, still pushes the girls
as well as herself . . . Fine orches-
tra leader Hal Gordon and his men
backed the show with their usual
musical mastery.
