`Eye-Bank' Nets
Hadassah $10,000

Hadassah's "Eye-sank" drive
proved a marked success, with
close to 1,500 in attendance at the
annual event held Tuesday at the
Royal Theater.
Virginia Graham, of the famous
TV "Girl Talk" program — Mrs.
Harry Guttenberg in private life—
gave an inspiring address to the
women to continue their efforts to
"keep Israel strong."
Each attendant at the impressive
event represented a minimum con-
tribution of $5 towards the "Eye
Bank" fund which aids Hadassah
in its fight against blindness and
trachoma in Israel.
At the millinery fashion show
a specially-made Hadassah hat, dis-
played by the retiring president,
Mrs. Max Lichter, portrayed the
Hadassah projects in Israel and in
this country.
Mrs. Sander Hillman was chair-
man of the Eye-Bank drive. Mrs.
Jack Perlman presided at Dies-
day's function.
