Reinstein's appointment as UCS planning consult- ant on health services in the tri-county area was announced by Richard F. Huegli, UCS managing direc- tor. P r i'o r to the UCS appoint- m e n t, Reinstein served on the Reinstein staff of the Tuberculosis and Health Society of Wayne County for eight years. He held the posts of health educator, director of health education, and more re- cently, program director. His new appointment marks a return to the UCS staff far Reinstein, who held the consultant's post from 1955 to 1957. A fellow of the American Public Health Association, Reinstein is 1965 pro gram chairman of its health education section. He is also a fellow and past president of the National Society of Public Health Educators. On the state scene, Reinstein is a member of the house of dele- gates of the Michigan Public Health Association and for the past eight years has been a board member and secretary of the Southeastern Michigan TB De- tection Project Corp., a six- county association of public health departments and TB organizations. Reinstein is also the author of articles on health published in a number of journals. Born in Vienna, Rein stein studied at the University of Vienna and completed three years of medi- cal studies at the university. He came to the United States in 1940. Resuming his studies after 31/2 years' service during the war, he received a masters degree in public health from the University of Minnesota. Reinstein has served on the international relations committee of the Jewish Community Council and as a member of the cabinet of the Professional Division of the Allied Jewish Campaign. He is also a member of the board of directors of the United Hebrew Schools. Married and the father of two children, Reinstein and his family live in Oak Park where he is a founder and charter member of the citizens advisory committee of the Oak Park School District.
