Johnson Asks Congress
for Desalination Funds;
Notes Program in Israel

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Presi-
dent Lyndon B. Johnson indicated
that he is mindful of American
cooperative efforts with Israel to
perfect nuclear desalination and
asked Congress for a substantial
increase in the government's pro-
grams to find economical means
to desalt water.
In a letter to Congress request-
ing new spending authority, the
President said "we must spare no
effort" in learning how to turn salt

water into pure water. One aspect
of the research he initiated is the
program now under way in Israel
to build a nuclear desalting facility.

Shrinks Hemorrhoids
Without Surgery

Stops Itch—Relieves Pain

For the first time science has found

a new healing substance with the as-
tonishing ability to shrink hemor-

rhoids and to relieve pain — without
surgery. In case after case, while
gently relieving pain, actual reduc-
tion (shrinkage) took place. Most
amazing of all — results were so thor-
ough that sufferers made astonishing
statements like "Piles have ceased to
be a problem!" The secret is a new
healing substance (Bio-Dyne®)— dis-
covery of a world-famous research
institute. This substance is now avail-
able in suppository or ointment form
called Preparation H®. At all drug
counters.
