Max Weksler Dies in LA.,
President of Egg Firm
Former Detroiter Max H. Weks-
ler was killed in a truck accident
March 6 in Los Angeles. He was
73.
Mr. Weksler was founder and
president of the Weksler Egg Co.
of Los Angeles. He and his wife,
Frieda, visited here and attend-
ed the wedding of a niece last
July.
Besides his wife. Mr. Weksler
leaves three sons, Harold, Sirney
and Leonard; and three grand-
children.
Marvin Stein , 30 , Dies
of Accident Injuries
Marvin Stein, 30-year-old father
of two, died Feb. 26 of injuries
suffered in an auto accident last
June. Mr. Stein, a Detroit resi-
dent five years, died in Veterans
Hospital, Dearborn. Mr. Stein was
a native of Toledo, where services
and burial were held.
He was an assistant manager
for Robert Hall Clothes in' Pon-
tiac. A member of Shaarey Zedek
Synagogue of Toledo, he held life
membership in Goldstein-Goodman
Lodge, Veterans of Foreign Wars,
and formerly belonged to Bnai
Brith.
Mr. Stein leaves his wife, Helen;
a daughter, Janet; a son, Steven;
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob
Stein of Toledo; and a sister, Mrs.
Jack Kale of Toledo.
Louis Shiell Succumbs
at Age 69 in Los Angeles
Louis Shiell, for m e r Detroit
builder, died Feb. 28 in Los An-
geles. He was 69.
Born in Grodny, Russia, Mr.
Shiell lived in Detroit 50 years.
He was active in Jericho Lodge,
Independent Order of Ckldfellows ;
and was manager of its temple
here. He also was on the board of
directors of Chesed shel Emes.
Mr. Shiell is survived by his
wife, Esther; a son, Oscar of Phoe-
nix; three daughters, Mrs. Jack
(Pearl) Cole and Mrs. Jeannette
Tobin Cameron, both of Los An-
geles, and Mrs. Lewis (Ruth) Kahn
of Detroit; one sister, one brother,
eight grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

Marshall Miller, spiritual leader
of Cong. Ohev Sholom and former
president of the Rabbinical Asso-
ciation of Greater Kansas, who died
here at age 52.
Born in Chicago and a resident
of Kansas City for nearly three
decades, Rabbi Miller had also
served as president of the local
Jewish National Fund Council and
was active in Bnai Brith. He was
a brother of Rabbi Uri Miller,
president of the Synagogue Coun-
