Youth Page Windsorites Will Host ‘Shabbaton' of Orthodox Youth in U.S Canda Three hundred teen-agers from 50 communities will attend the Central East Regional Shabbaton (Sabbath conclave) of the National Conference of Synagogue Youth this weekend at Cong. Shaar Has- homayim, Windsor. The Central East Shabbaton is the first joint project in this area under an agreement between the Union of Orthodox Jewish Con- gregation of America and the youth bureau of Yeshiva Univer- sity's community service division. The shab•aton seeks to promote teen-age synagogue efforts on be- half of Torah Judaism while pro- viding for an exchange of cultural and social experiences. Teen-agers will be coming from Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia. About '75 Windsor youth including mem- bers of the Tefiliin Club and Girl's Study group will take part in dinner sessions to be catered at the Shaar Hashomayim Syna- gogue. Many additional guests will be present at the Friday eve and Sabbath morning religi- ious services and cultural and educational sessions Saturday afternoon in the Kaplan Relig- ious School Building. Saturday night the guests will view a specially arranged profes- sional talent program at the Jew- ish Center. Rabbi Samuel S. Stollman and President Charles Zalev will wel- come eight guest rabbis and six professional youth leaders from Yeshiva University and other com- munities, including Oak Park.
