NEW YORK—A ranking Zionist
leader declared Tuesday that the
world Zionist movement has set
itself the task of reaching those
Jews—in countries accessible to
the Western world—who are deny-
ing their Jewishness "not by leav-
ing the fold but by their apathy
and their ignorance which are de-
stroying Judaism from within."
Mrs. Rose L. Halprin, chairman
of the Jewish Agency for Israel,
American Section, and former na-
tional president of Hadassah. the
women's Zionist organization of
America, addressed more than 200
leaders of Hadassah at the organi-

nation's annual midwinter confer-
ence here.
Sharing the platform with Mrs.
Halprin was Dr. Miriam K. Freund,
national chairman of Hadassah's
Zionist affairs committee, and also
a former national president of Ha-
dassah.
Mrs. Ilalprin pointed out that
the recently concluded 26th
World Zionist Congress in Jeru-
salem, focused on problems of
Jewish communities outside of
Israel, "signifies that the Zion-
' ist movement must now pene-
trate into the field of communal
'' activity—that it must lend its
7 strength to the braking process
of assimilation."
Dr. Freund—describing assimi-

lation as "the lack of Jewish that "It must seek to meet the
identification and commitment" challenges of our time and the
—termed the Zionist movement means of being a guiding force
life
as "the liberation movement of in strengthening Jewish
the Jewish people" and asserted throughout the world."

Treat your family to a good Jewish meal!

Kasha makes the difference—real traditional ta'am. Hearty
Kasha Soup. Or- Kasha instead of potatoes or rice. How
good it smells and tastes with pot roast, chicken or fish!
And as easy to make as chopping an onion and beating an
egg. So nutritious and economical, too.
