Mina E. Bargman House in 1962.
She was active in the Family
Service Association of America
and served as its vice president.
The numerous Bargman gifts in-
cluded generous contributions for
the establishment of special pro-
jects at the Tamarack Camp.
As chairman of the Israel Bonds
Women's Division she inspired
many workers, and as president
of Hadassah she took a deep in-
terest in many efforts in behalf
of Israel.
She was active in and a mem
ber of many movements, in some
of which she held important
offices, including Fresh Air Camp,
Senior Citizens Committee of the
Jewish Center. SOC Hadassah,
SOC Family Service Association,
Jewish Welfare Federation Wo-
men's Division, Jewish Center,
Jewish Community Council, Belle-
faire Home in Cleveland, Adult
Psychiatric Clinic at Harper,
YWCA, Temple Beth El and
Shaarey Zedek.

LONDON-Dr. Nyman Levin, a
prominent Jewish physicist who
was appointed only last week as
full-time member of Britain's
Atomic Energy Authority, died
here Monday of a heart attack.
He was 58.
Born in London. Dr. Levin had
served as director of the Atomic
Weapons Research 'Establishment.
In the Second World War, he was
responsible for building the VHF
communications system for the in-
vasion of Europe. He also helped
to develop underwater television
techniques with which the sunken
submarine "Affray" was located in
the English Channel in 1951.
