Commemorating their parents' anniversary, the Katz children, Donald, Wilfred and Mrs. Joseph Kaufman have formed the Sarah and Izidor Katz Scholarship Loan Fund at Wayne State University. Mrs. Katz, born in Sajo-Szent- peter, Hungary, came to the United at age 19. She lived in New York City for several years before com- ing to Detroit where she met and married Izidor Katz. then a Ham- tramck grocer. Mr. Katz, a native of Nlunkach. Hungary, came to America in 1910 and eventually founded Detroit's John R. Lumber Co. Mr. and Mrs. Katz have eight grandchildren, all in Detroit. They have been active at Cong.
