Israel Cabinet to Curb
Public Construction
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel's
Cabinet decided at its regular
weekly meeting here to restrict the
construction of public buildings
and office buildings, except in de-
velopment areas.
The restrictions, it was said,
were aimed at the preservation of
skilled manpower needed for the
construction of housing for inuni-
grants, as well as a curb on the
possible inflationary effect of ex-
cessive construction in the country.
