Episodes in an Active Career:

Upper photo shows Max M. Fisher being
welcomed to the White House by President Lyndon B. Johnson, cn Feb. 10, 1964. As associate general
chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, Mr. Fisher then was the leader of the UJA delegation which
met with the President. At the conference with him were, frcm the left: Honorary UJA Chairman
Dewey Stone of Boston, the then general chairman of the UJA Joseph Meyerhoff of Baltimore and
Rabbi Herbert A. .Friedman, UJA executive vice-president.

In the middle photo, Mr. Fisher is shown during UJA's 10th Overseas Study Mission last October,
conferring with Levi Eshkol, 'Israel's Prime Minister, in Jerusalem. From the left also are Mrs. Eshkol,
Joseph Meyerhoff and Rabbi - Herbert A. Friedman.

In the bottom photo, Mr. Fisher is shown honoring Mrs. Jack A. Goodman of Indianapolis,
honorary chairman of the UJA National Women's Division, during the UJA conference in Washington,
Feb. 9. From the left also are UJA National Chairman Edward Ginsberg of Cleveland and A•raham Har-
man, Israel Ambassador to the U.S.
