The Family of the Late

WILLIAM HORDES

expresses its gratitude to the many hundreds of Detroiters.
and the scores of friends in many communities in the
United States and in Israel, for their deeply moving mes-
sages of condolence on the passing of our husband, father
and grandfather. The generous memorial gifts made in
tribute to the beloved head of our family, the messages
paying honor to his lifetime of service to our community,
its schools and its synagogues; to the Jewish people and
to Israel; and the honors accorded him for his devotion to
the sacred ideals of_America, offer us a measure of comfort
in the hours of our grief. ,
