second office in the California
area.
Earlier. a Boston branch was
opened. David Elyath. spent three
of his eight years with El Al as
personnel manager and industrial
relations in the New York offices.
He speaks 11 languages fluently
and was a major in the Israeli De-

MOSCOW — The Novosti Press
Agency reported here that Soviet
television featured Monday the
finals of the World _Chess Tourney
in Tel Aviv, with a telecast of the
presentation of gold medal winners
and Soviet grand masters.
Boris Rodinov, the head of the
Soviet chess delegation, said in the
television program that the tourney
in Tel Aviv was the "most repre-
sentative of all the international
chess competitions held until now.
The Soviet players won 10 gold
medals.

Rodinov also told the Russian
television audience, Novosti re-

ported, that the Soviet chess play-
ers visited a number of cities in
Israel and that "wherever we went
we received a friendly reception
. from the Israeli people."
