There must not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through fire, a diviner, a sooth- sayer, an augur, a sorcerer, a charmer, a medium, a magician, or - a necromancer. For anyone given to these practices is abominable to the Lord . . . You must be ab- solutely true to the Lord your God; for while these nations whom you are to conquer give heed to sooth- sayers and diviners, the Lord your God has not intended you to do so. Instead, the Lord your God will raise up a prophet for you from among yourselves.-Deut. 18:9-15. Teleshe Yeshiva President Nazi Victim, Jurist Dies Rabbi Katz, Succumbs 1 Dt.
