Rabbi Benjamin H. Gorrelick
has been awarded life tenure at
Beth Aaron Synagogue, it was an-
nounced by Meyer Millman, pres-
ident.
Rabbi Gorrelick has served the
congregation for the past 15 years
and was instrumental in building
as Army chaplain, in the Eu-
ropean Theater during World War
II. During that time. he was re-
sponsible for the rehabilitation of
Jewish war orphans. Rabbi Gor-
relick also held pulpits in Brook-
lyn, New York, Cambridge, Mass.,
and Albany.
He has served on a great many
communityvvide committees and
has been an active participant and
leader in the Jewish community.
•He was a founder and originator
of the Hillel Day School of De-•
troit and has been actively iden-
tified with the United Hebrew
Schools of. Detloit, Zionist Organ-
ization and the Jewish Commu-
nity Council.
Rabbi and Mrs. Gorrelick reside
on Indiana Ave. and are parents
of a daughter, Mrs. Howard Ellis.
