Connolly, former lieutenant governor and for 10 years a judge, is a candidate for the Wayne County Circuit Court bench on the nonpartison ticket. Judge Connolly, son of the late Judge William F. Connolly, is a native Detroiter, a graduate of Georgetown University and served in the U. S. Naval Air Corps during World aWr II. He was appointed to the Common Pleas Court by Gov. G.
