The Michigan Federation of
Temple Sisterhoods will hold its
annual retreat for members of
Reform congregations Oct. 27-28
at Haven Hill.
Rabbi M. Robert Syme of Tern-
ple Israel will lead the retreat,
which will have as its theme
"Three Intellectual Giants and
Their Influence on the Modern
Jewish Woman." Mrs. Ha r r y
Landsman is general chairman,
and Mrs. Paul Monchnik, reserva-
tions chairman.
Papers to be delivered by mem-
bers include: "Reform Judaism Re-
evaluated." by Mrs. Sam Horowitz
of Grand Rapids; Franz RoSenz-
weig's "One Who Has Returned,"
by Mrs. George Victor, past presi-
dent of Temple Israel Sisterhood;
and Buber's "The Art of Human
Relations" by Mrs. Marshall Mill-
er, past president of Temple Beth
El.
President of the Michigan Fed-
eration is Mrs. Arthur Hass of
Temple Israel.
