Ems Stanley Brawer Is Dead; Was in Furniture Industry . Sanley Brawer, co-owner of Star Furniture Co. of Roseville, died Sept. 25 at age 55. Born in New York, Brawer, 25350 Greenfield, was active in the Detroit Jewish community as a member of Mr. and Mrs. Club. City of Hope; Pisgah Lodge, Bnai Brith; Mosaic Lodge, Shriners, and Bnai David Synagogue. For many years a member of the Furniture Club of Detroit, he received its Man of the Year Award at a testimonial dinner in 1960. Besides his wife Mary, to whom he was married 37 years, he leaves a son, Lawrence; two daughters, Mrs. Alvin "(Joan) Shifman and Mrs. William (Barbara) Markowitz; one brother; one sister; and six grandchildren.
