lovely romantic melodies.

A Town's Real Watchman
It is told of a rabbi of
the Talmud, Rabbi Jehuda Ha-
Naissi, that, visiting one Judaean
town, he asked to see the watch-
men. The town authorities brought
forth the guards with their wea-
pons.
"Who are these men?" asked
the rabbi.
"These are the watchmen," he
was told.
"No," replied Rabbi Yehuda,
"bring me the school teachers.
They are the real watchmen of a
town."
