Received Israeli Complaint VIENNA (JTA)—Spokesmen for the Austrian chancellery and for the Austrian foreign ministry as- serted that no official Israeli inter- vention was known in reference to a demand by Deputy Defense Mini- ster Shimon Peres fore the recall of Austrian and West German rocket scientists from Egypt. The Israel official had made the demand in an interview published in the Austrian weekly, Woshen- presse. The Austrian government spokesman indicated that their first knowledge of such an Israeli de- mand came from the interview. Peres asserted that the activ- ity of the scientnsts working on ad- vanced weapons systems for Presi- dent Nasser's regime seriously in- fluenced public opinion in Israel, and that final judgements on the two countries would depend on the success of their efforts to bring back the scientists. He added "We want the Austrian and West Ger- man government to recall them." THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Friday, October 2, 1964-27 Diornontolog ists Gemclogists DI 1-1330 17540 WYOMING 'TIL 9 P.M.
