Veterans' Conclave Calls
for More School Religion
CLEVELAND (JTA) — The
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the
United States adopted a resolution
at the organization's national con-
vention here calling , for a letter-
writing campaign to win congres-
sional approval of a 'proposed
amendment to the Constitution re-
storing prayers and Bible read-
ing to public schools.
Such practices were ruled
illegal last year by the Supreme
Court.
The delegates also approved a
resolution calling for the expand-
ed use of religious expressions in
oaths, pledges, documents and gov-

man el-Huzeil's reported adver-
tisement in an American mag-
azine for a wife to whom he was
prepared to give $50,000 has re-
sulted in a flood of proposals
from women in the U.S. The
sheik was furious at the reports.
Suleiman, estimated at over
80, can have four wives at a
time, according to Moslem law.
However, he has had only one
since 1949. "Why should I pay
$50,000 for a woman if I can get
a Bedouin . for $2,000?" he
asked. Anyway, he said, he has
had enough of women.
