Objectives, New Dimension for Coming Year
In statements issued on the eve of the New Year, Hyman
Safran, president, and William Avrunin, executive director,
of the Jewish Welfare Federation, outlined the objectives
for the coming year and the new dimensions envisioned for
the advancement of the many causes affiliated' with the
Federation.
Safran evaluated the status of existing agencies and
expressed pride in communal achievements.
Avrunin referred to the "concern with Jewish survival,"
and gave assurance that Federation officers are facing their
