The Rosenbergs reside at 18082 Mark Twain. They were . married Aug.
22, 1909, in Radom, Poland, and ae living in Detroit since 1928, having
moved here from Windsor. They also lived in Toronto from 1912 to 1919.
Capt. Harold T. Eisenman, who has completed his internship at
Henry Ford Hospital, is now Stationed with the 548th General Dispen-
sary, Medical Group, U.S. Army, in Seoul, Korea. His parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Irving Eisenman, 4005 W. Outer Dr. have returned from a trip to
Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, where they spent some
time with their son. •
Herbert * (Jerry) Gordon, 23481 AVon, Oak Park, who has been
employed with the - Internal Revenue Service for eight years, has been
transferred to California, and will be working in Van Nuys.

their 40th wedding anniversary on Aug. 17, and were entertained at

Miss Bowman attended the Uni-
versity of Michigan and is a grad-
uate of State University College,
New York, where she majored in

tion from Oakland pounty, reported that delegates are moving ahead
on a note of confidence in the future and have repudiated all expres-
sions of extremism.
Benjamin Levinson, president, Franklin Mortgage Corporation,
attended the Democratic National Convention in Atlantic City as a
member of the President's Club. It is the fifth- time he attended
Democratic national .conventions., While in Atlantic - City, he attended
a birthday party and dinner in honor of President Johnson, and other
receptions. He was guest of Edwin W. Pauley, former treasurer of the
Democratic National Committee, and was at all the parties given
by the former Ambassador .to Luxembourg, Perle Mesta.

Shephatiah is replacing Israel
Reinuss, who has gone back to Is-
rael. He came to Israel with WS par-
ents from Germany 30 years ago,
at the age of 5, and remained there
until recently, when he was dele-
gated to this country by the Jewish
Agency. •
He completed high school at .
Haifa and went to the Yeshiva
Kfar Haroeh for two years, then
became a member of Kibbutz Ein
Zurfm in Gush Etzion.
During the War of Independ-
ence, Gush Etzion was destroyed
by the Arabs, and he was taken
prisoner of war in Trans-Jordan
for one year, with all members of
the kibbutz. In 1949 the prisoners
were released, and the members of
Ein Zurim established a new
kibbutz, on the road to the Negev.
After one and one-half years at the
kibbutz, he went to a youth vil-
lane, G i v a t Washington, near
Kibbutz Yavneh, as a leader and
instructor, for two years.
In 1952 he entered the Hebrew
University at Jerusalem, and re-
ceived his BA in Jewish history
and Talmud in 1955. He taught for
two years at the Horeb Religious
School in Jerusalem, and since
1954 he worked at the Institute for
Youth Leaders from Abroad in
Jerusalem.
Torah is Hebrew for "Law."
Specifically, it refers to the "Five
Books of Moses," but is often
synonymous with all Jewish law,
all Jewish learning, or even learn-
ing in general.
