Snacks . . .

Ingredients: 4 lbs. trout (t lb. per
person), 2 cups vinegar, 2 1A cups
water, 2 bay leaves, IA cup sugar, %
box spices (medium size), 3 onions,
1 lemon (used after fish is cooked),
1 box lemon gelatin. Cook onions,
water, spices for 20 minutes to 1/2
hour. Strain. Add vinegar and sugar
to taste. Add fish and boil 25 min-
utes, then add gelatin, which is dis-
solved with some hot fish liquid.
Place in container alternating lemon
slices with the fish. Let stand one

as usual, it was a good one . . .
Since the Studio-8 Theater doesn't
sell any candy, why not put a coun-
ter of the delicacies in the new
Marty's Delicatessen next door .. .
Everybody's glad, especially the
people who go to the theater . . .
The beautiful decor of Marty's,
which opened just last week in the
Green-8 Shopping Center on Green-
field, includes coffee cups with a
design that matches the wall pa-
per . . . and table tops that ac-
cording to Bill Kaufman, are the
very first of their kind any-
where ... Speaking of firsts, we
tried a second . . a steak sand-
wich and were somewhat sur-
prised . . After all, delicatessens
aren't exactly noted as steak
houses, but this one was juicy, ten-
der and tasty.

Tenfold Increase Found
in Jewish Divorce Rate

CHICAGO (JTA)—A' Jewish spe-
cialist in matrimonial laws has as-
serted that there has been a ten-
fold increase in Jewish divorces
during the past 10 years.
Louis Z. Grant said, in an inter-
view in the Jewish Sentinal, that
"the lost generation of Jews, with-
out proper Jewish education" were
"the greatest offenders" in the in-
crease in divorces.

Preminger's New Plan
Otto Preminger has moved
over the Paramount for the film-
ing of James Bassett's best-
selling World War II novel,
"Harm's Way,' though he still
maintains other commitments
with United Artists for which
he made "Exodus" and Colum-
bia Studios now releasing "The
Cardinal."
