McNamara, will be honored at a banquet sponsored by the Trade Union Council for Histadrut, 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 6, in the Fountain Ballroom of the Masonic Temple. Many notables, prominent in the fields of government, labor, indus- try, education and religion, will attend this community event, among them being: Senator Philip A. Hart, Mayor Jerome P. Cav- anagh, G. Martin, addressing a meeting of the Beth Sholom Synagogue Brotherhood, condemned roundly the recent outbreak of hate litera- ture distribution throughout the country, most of it anti-Semitic and anti-Negro. Meanwhile, an assurance that the provincial government of Quebec is planning to introduce a bill out- lawing discrimination in employ- ment was received here by officials of the Canadian Jewish Congress. The promise that the Quebec Legislature would receive a fair employment practice bill was sent to the Congress by the office of Quebec Prime Minister Jean Le- sage.
