Dedication of New Hebrew Memorial Chapel
Gadna Including Detroit in Its American Tours
Three Israeli teen-agers, all of
whom are already veteran concert
artists, will be soloists with the
Israel National Youth Symphony
—Gadna, during its two-month
cultural exchange tour of the
United States beginning October,
1964.
They include Itzhak Perlman,
18-year-old v i o l i n i s t, Miriam
Fried, 18-year-old violinist, and
Daniel Domb, 19-year-old cellist.
Conductors will be Shalom Ronly-
Riklis, permanent conductor of the
Gadna orchestra, and Moshe Atz-
mon.
The Gadna orchestra, composed
of young musicians between the
ages of 18 and 20, will appear
under the patronage of Mrs. Golda
Meir, foreign minister of Israel,
and Avraham Harman, ambassa-
dor of Israel to the United States.
