Truman to Be Honorary Chairman of Dinner Honoring Ben Levinson Shtetl Songs Set Shewach-Zweig-Troth for Music Festival Is Announced Here Former President Harry S. Truman, hon- orary chairman of the Yeshiva University Din- ner to be held June 2 at Cobo Hall, congra- tulates Benjamin Lev- inson, who will be hon- ored at the dinner. In ac- cepting the chairman- ship of the dinner, Tru- man told David Gold- berg, founder and treasurer of the Detroit Friends of Yeshiva Uni- versity, he hopes to be present because of his many years of friend- ship with and high esteem f o r Levinson. Special guests will be Dr. Clarence Hilberry, Wayne State University; Rev. Celestin J. Steiner, S.J., University of Detroit; Dr. Sanmel Belkin, Yeshiva University; Very Rev. Nicholas Maestrini, Maryglade College; and Dr. Rembert Stokes, Wilberforce University. All are presidents of colleges that have honored Levinson for his service. Shtetl folk songs of the mar- tyred Mordecai Gebirtig, Yiddish poet and singer of prewar Poland, will be featured at the second an- nual Music Festival of Cong.
