SUPPORT FOR SCHOLARSHIP -- A PROUD TRADITION
The expanding achievement of Yeshiva Uni-
versity as a major force in American higher
education is cause for special pride among the
Detroit Jewish community.
For many years, forward-looking men and
women in our community have shared an es-
sential role in the continuing growth of this
great institution of higher learning. Particular-
ly noteworthy in the "partnership-for-progress'
between Detroit and Yeshiva University has
been our city's generous and farsighted parti-
cipation in advancing the National Scholarship
Program—a program that provides educational
opportunities for thousands of young men and
women from all parts of the country—tomor-
row's scientists, rabbis, doctors and community
leaders.
At a time when record enrollments and
mounting needs for college-trained leadership
lend unprecedented importance to this program,
it is eminently appropriate that we pay tribute
to Benjamin Levinson through support of Yeshi-
va University's Scholarship Program.
