Plans for the Detroit Pioneer Women's Council annual
Israel Bond Award Luncheon March 12 in the new Hilton Ball-
room of the Statler-Hilton Hotel were completed at the recent
Pioneer Women's Leadership dinner at the Jewish Center.
Awards were presented to the following women "in profound
appreciation for devoted service to Israel's development
through State of Israel Bonds," (from left, seated): Mesdames
Jack Berent; Nathan Glenner; Morris L. Schaver, Israel Bond
Women's Division chairman, who presented the awards; and
Israel Serling. Standing: Mesdames Milton Weiss, Norman Lee
mon, Michael Michlin, Alex Schreier and Irwin Berman. Also
presented with awards were Mrs. Jack Gosman, Pioneer Wom-
en's Council Israel Bond chairman, and Mrs. Rachel Kurtzman.

Jewish Education Theme Will Be Featured
at Community Council's Delegate Assembly

A committee of the Jewish
Community Council, headed by
Dr. Samuel Krohn, vice presi-
dent, has completed plans for
the council's forthcoming Dele-
gate Assembly March 16 at the
Jewish Center.
Theme of the meeting will
be "Jewish Education in De-
troit." Panel discussants will
include Albert Elazar of the
United Hebrew Schools;
Rabbi Max Kapustin of Hillel
Foundation, Wayne State
University; Dr. Krohn; and
Rabbi Jacob Segal of Cong.

Kleinman. A list of candidates
for all council offices and for
vacancies on the executive com-
mittee will be submitted. Addi-

council office within 14 days
after the assembly.
