Conrad will discuss "Can We Have Religion With- out Ritual?" 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Following Rabbi Groner's analysis from the Conservative viewpoint, Rabbi Conrad of Temple Beth Jacob, Pontiac, will discuss the topic from the perspective of Reform Judaism. Rabbi Conrad, a native of Ber- lin, received his B.A. degree at the University of Cincinnati and was ordained at Hebrew Union College in 1947. He occupied pul- pits in Hagerstown, Md.; Wins- ton-Salem, N.C.; and Baltimore, Md. prior to his present post in Pontiac. He did graduate work leading to a doctorate in Semitic languages under the direction of Dr. William F. Albright at Johns Hopkins University. This presentation is the sec- ond in a series of five entitled collectively "Judaism and the Concerns of Modern Man" spon- sored by the Adult Institute.
