BILLY FELSENFELD is in
his 12th year teaching at Fern-
dale's Taft Elementary School
. . . The talent plus guy still
does club dates now and then,
pantomiming to records inter-
mingled with stand up comedy
bits between discs . Billy's
good . . . even better as the
years roll better . . . as though
each anum adds a new glow of
glistening polish to his enter-
taining ability . . . Some of
the people Billy pantomimes
would be shocked if they heard
his real voice . . . In his own
right, he can really act and
sing . . as was proven by his
activities in the new defunct
Detroit Opera Theater where he
did acting roles and sang in the
chorus . . . To top it all off,
Billy's a real nice guy!
OPENING NIGHT ala Holly-
wood trimmings is the latest
word for "Its A Mad Mad Mad
World" being sponsored, Feb.
11, by American Jewish Con-
gress . . . at the Cinerama Music
Hall . . . Benefit is for Louis

in Jerusalem.
LATEST BY JOE FRANO-
WICH is about two angry young-
members of the downbeat gen-
eration who went to the shore
to witness the flight of an ex-
perimental navy jet . . . In the
course of same, the button was
pressed on a new automatic
ejection seat, and the copilot
floated lazily to earth . . .
"Jeepers," exclaimed one of the
downbeat boys. Dig that crazy
toastmaster!"
AS USUAL, ELEANOR RISE-
MAN still won't tell . . . The
entertainment chairman of In-
fants Service Group always
comes up with goodies and this
year's Cherub . Ball Dinner-
Dance and Show, March 1, at
Latin Quarter . . . Won't be for
at least another week before
Eleanor gives out with the en-
tertainment hints . . . Rose Bor-

ner-dance chairmen . . For
ducats, call ticket heads Freda

teen gal doing lots of singing
around town? . . . Ruth became
a grandmother three weeks ago

as I like California," pens Ruth,
"I do miss my home and friends
in the east." .. Ruth still does
free-lance singing on the coast
