RASKIN FOOD CO.

Louis Stone loved children
and dedicated his life to making
the underprivileged happy.
When he died Jan. 7, 1953,
a group of his friends organized
to carry on his work. That was
the inception of the Louis Stone
Memorial Foundation.
Today its committees are con-
ducting the annual Shrine Circus
Caravan to the State Fair Coli-
seum. Each year the number of
underprivileged children attend-
ing this event has grown.
Lawrence Gubow, U.S. dis-
trict attorney, is chairman of
the foundation's board of di-
rectors. Judge Nathan Kauf-
man heads the transportation
committee. DSR buses have
been chartered for some 1,500
children.
Members of the Morton A.
Silverman Post, Jewish War Vet-
erans, have joined other volun-
teers.
Contributions to defray the
cost of the buses may be sent
to Jack LaKing, Recorder's
Court, 1321 . St. Antoine. All
checks to "Louis Stone Memo-
rial Foundation."
