Monica Ave., became the bride
of Richard B. Merkle, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel Merkle, in a
candlelight ceremony recently at
Beth Abraham Synagogue. The
bridegroom's parents also live
on Monica Ave.
The bride wore a gown of
white silk peau de soie. The
bodice was fashioned with a
scoop neckline and elbow-length
sleeves. Re-embroidered Alencon
lace trimmed the bodice and bell-
shaped skirt, which led into a
removable chapel train. Her silk
illusion veil , was secured to a
crown of seed pearls. She car-
ried a white orchid on her
Bible.
Mrs. Phyllis Dubin, sister of
the bridegroom, served as the
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Mrs. Marshall Keys, Sylvia
Lee and Ina Shud. Sue Rosen-
sweet, cousin of the bride, was
junior bridesmaid, and Lynne
Scott, also cousin of the bride,
was flower girl.
Dr. Morrie Dubin, brother-in-
law of the bridegroom, was best
man. Ushers were Dr. Lary Ber-
kower, brother of the bride,
Marshall Keys, Malcolm Weck
stein and Lawrence Rothstein,
cousin of the b r i d e. Jeffrey
Dubin, nephew of the bride-
groom, was ring bearer.
The couple spent their honey-
