It was his first business meeting with Rusk since Lyn- don B. Johnson assumed the presidency. Harman recently returned from brief consultations with his government in Jerusalem. It is understood that his meet- ing with Secretary Rusk was devoted to a review of the current Middle East situation. Harman presumably conveyed to the secretary the views of the Israel government on recent developments in the area. The ambassador was accom- panied by Minister Mordecai Gazit and Counselor Shaul Bar- Haim. Ottawa Jewish Family Donates $450,000 for Medical Research Center OTTAWA, (JTA)—A $450,- 000 gift to build a medical research center at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, has been con- tributed by the Loeb Founda- tion established by a leading Jewish family of this city. The research center, the first such facility in Ottawa, will be dedi- cated to the memory of • Moses and Rose Loeb, parents of the donor. family, and of the late Dr. Henry H. Loeb, a brother of the donors who practiced at the hospital until his death in 1949. The five surviving brothers who made g i :f t s are Norman, Bertram, Jules, David and Dr. Lazarus. Bertram Loeb is the first vice-president of the Zionist Organization of Canada, national chairman of the United Israel Appeal of Canada and president of Supersol, Israel's supermarket chain.
