Sinai to Address Histadrut Rally;
He's Authority on Asian Affairs

"1964 — A Year of Crucial
Decisions for Israel," will be

dress, Jan. 14, at the mid-cam-

tadrut campaign.

turn to Israel he rejoined the
political department of Hista-
drut and worked for the infor-
mation department of the for-
eign Ministry.
At the end of 1961 he was
the only Israeli invited to at-
tend a conference sponsored by
some of the leading political
personalities within the North
Atlantic countries in Rome, to
discuss ways and means of con-
ducting political warfare against
the Communists.
Born in Lithuania in 1924,
he emigrated to South Africa
in 1934 and from 1948 to 1951
he lived in Paris and London
where he was engaged in free-
lance journalism. In 1951 Sinai
settled in Israel.
He is now teaching at the
New School for Social Research
on "Contemporary Europe" and
"Western and Non-Western Civ-
ilization", and is consultant to
the Foreign Policy Research In-
stitute of the University of
Pennsylvania. He is the brother
of Laurence Harvey, the noted
film star.

Chabad to Honor William Hordes
at Labor Zionist Institute Fete

The annual dinner of Merkas

day, Feb. 13, 6:30 p.m., at the
Labor Zionist Institute, it was
announced by Charles E. Fein-
berg and Harry L. Schumer.
Feinberg is chairman of the
camp committee and Schumer
of the vocational schools com-
mittee.
The dinner will honor Wil-
liam Hordes on his 70th birth-
day, in recognition of his many
years of service on behalf of
Jewish causes, and especially
for his devotion to the Chabad
movement and for his help in
the establishment of the first
Chabad office in the Detroit
