"Pillars of Courage" will consist of a circle of lofty columns to be erected on the central square of Detroit JNF's new land development site of Mishmar Hayarden, located on the northern Galilee frontier of the Jewish State. Inscribed on the pillars Will be the names of Detroit citizens who are contributing in substantial measure to the reclamation of this strategic sector of Israel. Details of the project will be unfolded at the tea by Mrs. Pearl Nosan, JNF donor chairman. Mrs. Morris Kutinsky is president of the JNF Auxiliary. Mishmar Hayarden and the adjacent village of Gadot, now being redeveloped by the Jewish National Fund on behalf of the Detroit Jewish community, were both destroyed in Israel's War of Liberation in 1948.
