posed and Presented by Mem-

the Dexter Davison Markets.)
Ode To Dexter-Davison
(Tune of
Glory, Glory Hallelujah)
Mine eyes have seen the glory
of a gooteh shtikle fish
A blintz, a piece of herring
and a tasty little knish!
A tzimish and some chicken
and a knadle so delish!
The carts go rolling by.
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
Glory, glory hallelujah
And the carts go rolling by.
You can buy a pickled kum-
quat
Plain or in a fancy crock
And if it doesn't suit you
Ask for Norman's Private
Stock.
So it costs a few cents extra
But it really is gesh?nock!
And the carts go rolling on.
(Repeat chorus)
You line up Sunday 'morning
for some bagels, lox and
cheese
You think by going early
you'll get waited on with
ease
But there's 50 guys before
you shouting:
Take my money, please,
And the carts go squeezing
on!
(Chorus)
You can get some home-made
Kishka or a can of curry
powder,
A beautiful tomato and some
clams to make a chowder.
But a Kosher TV dinner
makes the kids cheer even
louder!
And the carts go rolling on!
(Chorus)
Parking there was terrible be-
fore they built more stores,
And now it's even worse and
yet the people jam the
doors.
The reason is that they can
get what they came shop-
ping for.
And the carts go rolling on.
(Chorus)
You meet the girls that you
have known—
You see them in the aisles
They've all got fancy hair-
do's in the very latest
styles,
There is no room to stop and
talk so you just wave and
smile.
And the carts go rolling on.
(Chorus)
I remember her from high
school
Where she never read a book
She grew up and then got
married to a good for
nothing Shnook!
Her papa pays for everything
to keep him on the hook,
And the carts go rolling on!
(Chorus)
Our sincere thanks and ap-
preciation to the members of
ORT. It is always a pleasure
to be of service to the com-
munity and the organizations
in it.

intergroup relations. In recent
years the field has been broad-

civic life. Last year, precedent

stitution to receive public funds
in Canada from both the City
of Montreal and the Ministry
of Cultural Affairs, the library
is maintained mostly by the
city's Jewish community.
Ian Lurie, William Glazer, Ann
Benderoff and Greta Rosen-
bush.
